FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kahnawà:ke, QC — [Ohiarí:ha/ July 16, 2025] Kahnawà:ke Tourism is proud to announce the return of the 7th Annual Corn Fest, happening on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Golden Age Club (outside) sponsored by Playground Cares. This highly anticipated event brings together community members and visitors to celebrate the season of corn through food, art, culture, and music.

The Corn Fest was originally created to showcase traditional foods connected to the cycle of ceremonies, offering a meaningful yet fun way to share culture with the public. These events continue to provide a respectful and economically beneficial way of welcoming visitors while uplifting local creators and knowledge holders.

This year, Kahnawà:ke Tourism is pleased to collaborate with KSCS for their Strong Woman, Strong Man Day, and with Maison LePailleur – Châteauguay Museum, making it a joint celebration of
strength, culture, and community spirit.

“We are excited to be hosting the Corn Fest again in partnership with Maison LePailleur and building our relationship with the museum. We encourage locals and visitors to come out for a day full of festivities,” said Geneviève Renaud, Programming Coordinator at Maison LePailleur. “We are excited to collaborate for the first time with KSCS during their Strong Woman/Strong Man Day and
also again with Maison LePailleur. It will be a delightful day of events from all three organizations in the same location,” added Melina Singh, Events Coordinator for Kahnawà:ke Tourism.

Guests can look forward to delicious corn-based food and traditional tastings, local artisans and cultural vendors, live music and stage performances, interactive workshops and family-friendly games, contests and raffles with great prizes and many more! Come out and enjoy a vibrant day of cultural celebration, food, and fun—all rooted in the heart of our traditions and hosted by the beautiful Kahnawà:ke community
