Places to Visit Kahnawà:ke Brewery Company
Owned by Kahnawà:ke’s Matt Deere the Kahnawà:ke Brewery Company (KBC) is the first Native-owned microbrewery on a First Nation's territory in Canada. The KBC began its story in 2016 with the goal to change the beer business in the community. Becoming established in 2017, it took over a year of hard work and collaborative discussions to create beer production regulations in the community. The KBC officially opened its doors to the public on St. Patrick’s Day 2018, to serve its first pint of local beer.

The KBC hasn’t just reached their goal of changing the landscape of beer in the community, but they have gone above and beyond to surpass that goal. Not only have they made a name for themselves in the community, but they are making noise outside of Kahnawà:ke, and now offer their beer in multiple stores located in Wendake and Kanesatake. Some of their most popular beers are the “Hard Days Work” and “The Bridge” with unique, locally illustrated labels. You won’t just find beer when you go to the KBC, you can also sit down and enjoy some of their delicious food. From pizza and chicken wings to burgers and poutines, the Kahnawake Brewery has it all, along with weekly specials. You can even get together with five other friends and stop in for a trivia night, which is held every Wednesday at 7:00pm.
This dedication to quality, creativity, authenticity, and community is what makes the Kahnawà:ke Brewing Company stand out among the very best brewing businesses. The KBC is open Wednesday to Saturday from 12:00pm to 11:00pm, and Sundays from 12:00pm to 9:00pm. Check out their newly expanded outdoor terrace. You can follow the KBC on Instagram and Facebook or visit their Website for more information on what they offer.
